PSG XIII: Public Policy

Public policyInformation about the Permanent Study Group on “Public policy”.

Its overall goal is to develop and strengthen the ties between the fields of public administration/public management and political science/public policy.

Aims

The EGPA Permanent Study Group Policy is meant to provide a platform for the study of public policy in the connect of public administration. Its main purpose is to develop and strengthen the ties between the fields of public administration/public management and political science/public policy by bringing scholars from these fields together. Given this purpose, special attention is given to implementation theory and research. Study group chairs are Harald Saetren (University of Bergen), Peter Hupe (Erasmus University Rotterdam) and Eva Thomann (University of Heidelberg).

Activities

Organising a workshop at the yearly EGPA Conference is central. occasionally meetings will be held at other international conferences and beyond. While the platform function is crucial joint publications will be aimed at. A mission statement can be found here.
