The EGPA e-government study group has met every year since 1986. The broad aims of the group are to:
- create a network of scholars and practitioners who are interested in the impacts of the application of ICT in all aspects of public administration and
- provide a forum for presenting and developing ideas in this field.
The group holds an annual workshop where there is the opportunity to meet with other people working in this field, to present to, and discuss your own work with, your peers and to develop personal and professional relationships. Many early members of the study group have gone on to become current leaders in the academic world. Today, the group is made up of members who have been working in this field for many years as well as young researchers starting out on their careers.
